Rational Religion is a leading Muslim platform that argues for the existence of God, the need for religion, and the truth of Islam.
Established in 2018 under the National Outreach Department of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK, the initiative seeks to show that science and religion are reconcilable; that faith and reason can live together; that true spirituality and true religion are one and the same.
The team consists of young British Ahmadi Muslims who volunteer their time to produce articles and media content that educate and entertain the public on religious matters.
The platform has a popular YouTube channel with over 2 million views, producing in-depth content on religious and contemporary issues. Past interviewees include David Berlinski, Rupert Sheldrake, Stephen C. Meyer, Nick Spencer, Tarek El-Diwany, among others. It hosts two talk shows, including one focusing on the female experience of Islam. All episodes are broadcast as a popular podcast across all major platforms.
Rational Religion also has a digital journal with original and exclusive research that has received millions of hits from hundreds of thousands of global users. The Journal is blessed with writers whose past work has been featured on The Guardian, the Independent, Huffington Post, Patheos and academic journals. The regular writing team includes Damir Rafi, Ahmed Danyal Arif, Athar Warraich, Hamaad Khan, Tahir Nasser, Umar Nasser, among other guest writers, covering a variety of religious topics.
In addition to their online work, the team host regular seminars and talks across British universities and religious conferences.
